Christian discipleship is more than being a believer - it's about being a follower! Along with daily Bible study, prayer, fellowship with other believers – it is actively living out your faith by meeting the needs of others.

God has simply directed Groundwork Ministries to be a resource for people to be able to do all of the above.

Mission Trips: When going on a mission trip you sacrifice, struggle, prepare, are out of your comfort zone – and do all of that for the sake of others. Groundwork’s main purpose of mission trips is to disciple those who are GOING on them…by providing them the opportunity to serve. There is practically no other way to be changed and impacted more drastically than a mission trip. And while on the trips, we meet the needs of others, where they are, as Christ did in His ministry.

Retreats: Getting out of the routine of daily life enables people to focus and be impacted in dramatic ways. Using the time to reach people through music, more intensive sessions that relate to them, and fellowship with other Christians is the main purpose of Groundwork’s Retreats.

Local Resource Facility: Groundwork has a deep passion to meet the needs of people in their local community (Queen Creek/Florence/San Tan, AZ area) by having a permanent facility where people can count on being welcome and loved. This community just does not have many community resources – at least not permanent ones. The storefront or warehouse type building would include a small coffee shop, large group area, and smaller rooms. Resources will include intentional, consistent teen programs (fun, positive, supervised), Christian counseling, financial counseling, tutoring, support groups (parents, singles, addictions, etc.), as well as opportunities for churches and others to use the facility to carry out their mission to help people. The possibilities are absolutely endless.

It’s all about helping people in their walk to be disciples of Jesus Christ. To meet people at ground level, then point them to the one who loves them.
