Groundwork has a deep passion to meet the needs of people in their local community (Queen Creek/Florence/San Tan, AZ area). This may come through hosting special events, or arranging provision to meet certain needs that come up. In February of 2010, Groundwork and Paladin Sports Outreach came together to host a national Christian tour, Be My Valentour.
The idea is to be the hands and feet of Christ, and come together as a community to make the most impact. The effects of this are countless!
The long term vision for Groundwork is to have a permanent facility where people can count on being welcome and loved. This community just does not have a whole lot of resources – at least not permanent ones. The storefront or warehouse type building would include a small coffee shop, large group area, and smaller rooms. Resources will include intentional, consistent teen programs (fun, positive, supervised), Christian counseling, financial counseling, tutoring, support groups (parents, singles, addictions, etc.), as well as opportunities for churches and others to use the facility to carry out their mission to help people. The possibilities are absolutely endless.
