Mission Trips
Short-term Mission trips are Groundwork’s main resource. A short term mission trip is an opportunity for people to meet the needs of others, while growing and learning themselves. Groundwork’s philosophy in doing this is to come along side ministries and missionaries who are on site long term. These are the people whom God has called to meet the long term needs of the local people. So Groundwork has a constant connection with those local missionaries and ministries so we can best serve the people, and show them the love of Jesus. God uses us to plant the seeds, the long term missions’ people to water it, and God to grow it.
Church Missions Partner
Groundwork connects your church with this mission, fostering relationships by bringing groups from your church to this same place, arranging the missionaries to come to your local church (if possible), and working with your church as much as needed. The possibilities are endless. Supporting a mission church/organization’s ongoing ministry is the most effective way to help and reach people, as they know best what the needs are and ways of reaching them. Often the local missionaries simply need encouragement, support, prayer and some extra hands, feet and hearts once in a while!
Retreats and Events
Groundwork is focusing on missions, however is involved in other ministry as well. The founders of Groundwork Ministries, Nate and Robin McAvoy, have many years of experience in leading powerful life changing retreats. They are available to lead, or participate in, a retreat for your church or group. We can help you create an event that can minister to youth, families, couples, college, and ministry leaders.
Local Community
We have a desire to serve the local community in the Phoenix East Valley, especially our local community and surrounding areas of San Tan Valley Arizona. Community service is an opportunity for all people to come together, as well as events to grow the faith and spread the Word of God. We continue to pray for God to open doors and opportunities for Groundwork to help meet the needs in San Tan Valley.
